SALT LAKE CITY—The Utah Jazz announced the signing of draft pick Joel Bolomboy. The forward was drafted in the second round of the 2016 NBA Draft, 52nd overall. The terms of the deal were not released.
Bolomboy played collegiately at Weber State University in Ogden, where he averaged 17.1 points and 12.6 rebounds per game, earning the Big Sky Conference Most Valuable Player award, as well as the conference Defensive Player of the Year, and was selected unanimously to the All-Conference First Team.
In nine games of summer league play for the Jazz, Bolomboy averaged 7.6 points and 5.9 rebounds in 19.3 minutes.
