The Utah Jazz announced on Friday that the team acquired the rights to guard Kendall Marshall from Philadelphia in exchange for center Tibor Pleiss and two future second-round draft picks. The Jazz shortly waived Marshall after acquiring his rights.
Marshall (6-4, 200, North Carolina) is a four-year NBA veteran who has appeared in 160 career games (57 starts) over four seasons with Phoenix, the Los Angeles Lakers, Milwaukee and Philadelphia.
Pleiss (7-3, 256, Germany) averaged 2.0 points and 1.3 rebounds in 12 games as an NBA rookie with the Jazz during the 2015-16 season. He also appeared in 28 games over five assignments for the Jazz’s NBA Development League affiliate, now known as the Salt Lake City Stars.
