The Lumineers are an American folk rock band formed in 2005 in Denver, Colorado. They are known for their soulful, stripped-back sound that blends folk, Americana, and indie rock. The band’s breakout came with their self-titled debut album in 2012, which featured the hit song “Ho Hey.” Their music is characterized by catchy melodies, heartfelt lyrics, and a focus on acoustic instrumentation.
They followed up with Cleopatra in 2016, continuing their success with tracks like “Ophelia” and “Cleopatra.” In 2019, the band released III, a concept album exploring themes of family and personal struggles. Known for their captivating live performances, The Lumineers have built a strong and loyal fanbase, solidifying their place in the modern folk and indie music scenes.
