Kyle Whittingham On Bringing Fmr QB On Staff: I’m Evaluating Everything Right Now

Whittingham said that part of his job as head coach is to make sure the team is covered on all bases for both players and coaches, and that specific question is part of the ongoing evaluation.

One of the biggest concerns for Utah fans in 2016 and recent years is making sure the Utes get everything they can out of quarterbacks, and many feel that QBs have largely left potential unfulfilled.  Sean O’Connell and Brian Swinney had Kyle Whittingham on Tuesday’s OC & Swinney show to ask a series of questions about postseason evaluation.

Swinney asked Whittingham if he was considering bringing a former quarterback on staff to coach the position group in a graduate assistant or position coach role, as there are no former quarterbacks on staff.  Whittingham said that part of his job as head coach is to make sure the team is covered on all bases for both players and coaches, and that specific question is part of the ongoing evaluation.
