Phillies’ Kingery Out For Season After Shoulder Surgery

Phillies’ infielder/outfielder Scott Kingery will miss the rest of the season after undergoing shoulder surgery.

The 27-year-old played in just 15 games with the Phillies and went 1 for 19 with 12 strikeouts.

It’s the second straight year he’s barely played (last summer, he had COVID-19).
Phillies president of baseball operations Dave Dombrowski said Sunday he’s hopeful, “(Kingery) will be ready to go for next year.”

Who had rough starts to their careers – and many even wrote off – before they became big names?
