The Utes will face the Wildcats in San Diego.
In the year where Utah earned its first Pac-12 South Championship, the Utes will make their first appearance in the Holiday Bowl on December 31 at 5pm mountain. They’ll take on another San Diego-first timer Northwestern.

The Wildcats finished 8-5 while dominating the Big Ten West with an 8-1 conference record. The Cats even showed fight in Saturday’s Big Ten title game against Ohio State.
Kyle Whittingham is 11-1 in bowl games. He beat Big Ten opponent Indiana in the 2016 Foster Farms Bowl.
