Jazz Fall To The Kings, 94-93

By: Madeleine Lopez

Coach Quin summed up the game between the Utah Jazz and the Sacramento Kings Wednesday night perfectly when he said, “We just lost.” The Utah Jazz were in for a guaranteed win against the Sacramento Kings, well at least what everyone thought would be a win since the Jazz were up the entire game. The lead even went to more than 20 points ahead of the Kings going into the fourth quarter but that wasn’t going to stop the Kings from trying to make it a nail biting game. The Jazz had a perfect plan with 24.7 seconds left in the game; Gordon fakes a three, passes down low to Rudy for a slam dunk, but that didn’t play out the way the Jazz wanted it to. The gap closed in on the Jazz and with a few missed free-throws on the Jazz end and a few made free throws by the Kings the score was 94-93 with .4 seconds left in the game. What ultimately cost the Jazz the game was their lack of defense in the fourth quarter, and their late start offensively. The Utah Jazz will take on the Toronto Raptors Friday night at Vivint Smart Home Arena. The Raptors are right behind the Cavaliers in the Eastern standings. The Jazz will have to execute in all four quarters to dominate the Raptors.
