The Utah Jazz fall in Preseason Play to the Trail Blazers

The Utah Jazz (2-2) fall at EnergySolutions Arena Monday night to the Portland Trail Blazers 88-81 in preseason action.  The Jazz trailed by as many as 15 points in the first and never could overcome the deficit in front of 15, 171 fans.  The Jazz struggled offensively as they shot 31% from the field (24-77) including 5-22 (23%) from behind the 3-point line.  The Jazz finished with 13 assists, 3 of those came from Alec Burks.  Raul Neto and Trey Burke finished with a combined 1 assist.

Utah Jazz Head Coach Quin Snyder met with the media after the game.  Here is that audio:

The Utah Jazz were led by Alec Burks who played well tonight finishing with 19 points and 8 rebounds.  He drove to the basket numerous times going to the line 8 times.  He doesn’t look like he is troubled by his shoulder at all.  He said after the game that he is 100% physically and mentally.  He he is with the media after the game:

Gordon Hayward had a tough night as he shot 3-15 (20%) from the field on his way to 10 points.  He will definitely bounce back from a performance like this one tonight.  He met with the media following the game.  Her is that audio:

The Jazz will be off until Sunday night when they will take on the Portland Trail Blazers on the road at 7:00 PM.
