Utah Jazz Pre-Draft Workouts – 6-16-16

The NBA Draft is now less than a week away as the Jazz brought in 6 more players on Friday for workouts.  The Jazz hold 4 picks in this year’s draft at 12, 42, 52, and 60.  The Draft will be held on Thursday, June 23, at 5:30 PM.  The players that the Jazz brought in included Nic Moore from SMU, Fred VanVleet out of Wichita State, John Brown from High Point, Oregon’s Elgin Cook, Jameel McKay from Iowa State, and Duke’s Marshall Plumlee.

Wichita State guard Fred VanVleet met with the media following his workout.  VanVleet played 4 seasons with the Shockers.  During his senior season he averaged 12.2 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 5.5 assists.  He was named as the MVC player of the year in 2014 and 2016.  Here is the audio of VanVleet with the media:

Oregon forward Elgin Cook talked with the media after his pre-draft workout.  Cook was with the Ducks for 3 years where he played in 3 straight NCAA Tournaments.  Last season he scored 14.8 points per game, grabbed 5.1 rebounds, and handed out 2.3 assists per contest.  Here is Elgin Cook with the media:

Duke center Marshall Plumlee played 4 years with the Blue Devils.  He started all 36 games during the 2015-2016 season.  He led Duke in rebounding, blocks, and field-goal percentage as a senior.  He also talked with the media following his workout.  Here is the audio:
