The Utah Jazz (20-25) and Minnesota Timberwolves (14-33) square off tonight at Vivint Smart Home Arena at 7:00 PM. The Jazz are looking to win back-to-back games for the first time in almost three weeks if they can give the Minnesota Timberwolves a 10th consecutive road defeat tonight. The Timberwolves have lost 13 of 15 games since beating the Jazz on December 30, 94-80. Minnesota is also allowing averages of 110.2 points and 50.2 percent shooting during their season-high 10-game road losing streak. The Jazz will need to jump on the Timberwolves early. They cannot allow them to hang around. The closer the game stays, the more confidence the Timberwolves will develop.
Here is Utah Jazz Head Coach Quin Snyder with the media following shoot around this morning with his thoughts on tonight’s matchup:
The Jazz are glad to have both Rudy Gobert and Derrick Favors healthy again. Favors is expected to return to starting lineup tonight after coming off of the bench the last 2 games. The starting lineup of Raul Neto, Rodney Hood, Gordon Hayward, Derrick Favors, and Rudy Gobert have done a great job in their limited time together this season. It will be great to see them continue to develop and continue to play well.
Utah Jazz Forward Derrick Favors met with the media after shoot around and brought his comedy routine when asked about being back in the starting lineup:
Utah Jazz Center Rudy Gobert also talked with the media after following shoot around. Here is that audio:
