Utah football focused a great emphasis on detail today- as well as every practice. Coach Whittingham said today that any chance that the Utes get to practice situations is important and pertinent in order to refine these details: work in the end zone, 3rd down, and 2 minute drills.
The defense was working to force fumbles, while the offense was securing the ball- quarterback Chase Hansen said that he personally is working on his ‘passing under pressure.’
When defense pressures the offense, Hansen said it’s important that he sees the blitz, and gets the ball out on time.
It’s crucial to pay attention to detail during spring practice and into fall camp. Whittingham said he thinks the players can’t be prepared enough for those situations in a game.
Coach Whittingham said that Utah’s scrimmage this Saturday, April 18th will be one of the more important practices of spring ball.
