Utah Spring Football Begins Tuesday

The University of Utah football team will start the spring practice session on Tuesday, March 22. All outdoor practices are open to the public.

The University of Utah football team will start the spring practice session on Tuesday, March 22.  All outdoor practices are open to the public.

Beginning in week two of camp, Tuesday and Saturday practices (and the lone Friday practice) will be held in Rice-Eccles Stadium. Thursday practices will be at the Eccles Practice Facility, weather permitting.

Injured players who will miss all of spring camp include WR Tim Patrick, CB Dominique Hatfield, S/QB Chase Hansen, TE Siale Fakailoatonga, TE Evan Moeai, and OL Nick Nowakowski.
In addition, injured S Austin Lee and DB Jordan Fogal are doubtful to participate in the spring.
Missing the start of spring ball but expected to return at some point during camp are OT J.J. Dielman, RB Marcus Sanders-Williams and OL Nick Carman.

The Utes are returning 15 starters (6 offense, 8 defense, and 1 specialist).  Six members of the 2016 recruiting class are enrolled in classes and participating in camp—OL Jake Grant, QB Tyler Huntley, OL Scott Peck, WR Demari Simpkins, QB Troy Williams and P Mitch Wishnowsky.
