Will Friday be a Big Day for Utah Basketball?

Generally by June 1st College Basketball programs have their rosters set for the next season. Utah Basketball in recent years has been able to add key recruits late. Names like Jakob Poeltl and Devante Doutrive were top flight recruits that Larry Krystkowiak was able to bring into the fold late in the recruiting process.

Friday we’ll find out if Krystkowiak and his staff are able to do it again. Utah is in the final three spots for 4 star guard Both Gach, a 6-7 PG out of Compress Prep School in Phoenix. Gach has narrowed his choices to: Utah, San Diego St. and Texas Tech. Before transferring to Compass Prep Gach played high school basketball in Minnesota. A year ago Utah finished runner up to both San Diego State and Texas Tech for prized recruits. Matt Mitchell choose the Aztecs over Utah and Davide Morretti choose the Red Raiders over the Utes. Both had good freshman years at their respective schools.

Here’s a little back ground on Gach and his basketball playing brothers.

Gach will remind Utah fans of Delon Wright in his body type and style of play. Long, Athletic and a very good passer. Though not as polished as Wright, who came to Utah from San Francisco CC. He would be the “cherry on top” of an already talented 2018 recruiting class for Utah Basketball. Gach would give Utah and Larry Krystkowiak a freshman at every position in the 2018 Class.
