The University of Utah men’s basketball team has been picked 8th in the Pac-12 preseason poll.
SAN FRANCISCO—The University of Utah men’s basketball team has been picked 8th in the Pac-12 preseason poll, the league announced on Friday morning at Pac-12 basketball media days. The poll was voted on by 27 media members who cover the league.
The Utes finished with a 27-9 record last season, and ended the 2015-16 campaign in the Second Round of the NCAA Tournament. Utah returns two starters from last year’s squad in forward Kyle Kuzma and guard Lorenzo Bonam.
The Oregon Ducks were projected to win the league, a first for the preseason poll. The Ducks (No. 5), the Arizona Wildcats (No. 11), and the UCLA Bruins (No. 20) represent the conference in the preseason USA Today Coach’s Poll.
